I personally have the VE100 wich is just an on/off thermostat but it's already failed me once on a single rack (Temp got to 1) Stuff breaks, thats life but when it happens to you personally it'll make you think twice about going with a particular unit a second time aroundThermostat can be mounted on the wall anywhere in the guest room It is Battery powered and with its own wire less ability to communicate with the PTAC to maintain room temperature Best of all, there are no wires to run The PTAC and thermostat connect at the press of a button and work insync to display accurate temperatureI've decided to try purchasing parts here, online, to see if they hold up any better This thermostat goes in an old Ford F250 and it is the 4th thermostat in 4 years (normal for NAPA so far) I spent about double for the part, but hope it holds up for 510 years Only time will tell
